On 22 September the Board of Directors of the Territorial Section of Perugia Confindustria Umbria met.
This was an important event for companies in our region, especially at this particular time in history when entrepreneurs are beginning to see signs of economic recovery.
The Board of Directors meeting was held in Bettona, in the picturesque setting of the complex of the former convent of Santa Caterina; The event was hosted by Andrea Marcantonini, a member of the Board of Directors.
MCT Italy company’s history – closing in on to the milestone of its 55 years in business was prominent at the event of Bettona Outdoor, which included the sports events Bettona MTB and Umbria Crossing.
These events are now viewed as the heart of sports for those who love physical activity in the open air.
For us at MCT Italy, we have always supported these events. They have become an essential tradition, that allow us to combine sport and promotion of our region through tourism.
The Social Economic activity and the growth trend in our area were in fact the main topics of discussions. The event was well attended by about thirty prominent entrepreneurs of the Province of Perugia members of Confindustria.
During the meeting, the President of the Umbria Region Donatella Tesei answered some questions from the entrepreneurs.
Our founder Lamberto, Mayor of Bettona, attended the assembly held outside the Municipal Museum and during the ceremony he was presented with a bust of Antonio Canova, a a self-portrait made by the artist in 1812 and found in the town in 2016.
Following the master piece restoration, realized thanks to the dedicated support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Perugia, the bust has returned to the Museum of the town, rendering the artistic heritage of Bettona even more prestigious.
Lamberto boasted that the importance of the collaboration between the City Council and private institutions to benefit and support the enhancement of the region is yet another significant example!
The day ended outdoors on an emotional note when the President of Confindustria Perugia. Maurizio Mariotti, bestowed a memorial plaque commemorating the event to MCT Italy.
